Outremer

What is the importance of one’s roots ? Mine seem to be in the water. Not a very stable start, but since my ancestors were seafarers for over five centuries, the sea is my natural habitat. I don’t sail or navigate but I contemplate this mysterious world that Virgilius called the den of the nymfs, caught between our material world and the world of the gods and ideas.

The mute and illiterate world of painting is just as mysterious as the maritime world that gives me no clues about space nor time.
